More robots in industrial production, an increase in production efficiency and a reduction in its costs, as well as the modernisation of the Polish economy and an improvement in its international position in terms of robotisation - these, among others, are to be the effects of the robotisation tax relief that the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Finance are preparing. The solution envisages that entrepreneurs will be able to additionally deduct 50 per cent of the costs incurred for investments in robotisation, regardless of the size and type of industry. The deduction will also apply to leasing and training for employees operating the robots.

A bill on the matter will already go to the Polish Parliament in the autumn and should come into force on 1 January 2021. The design of the tax relief is modelled on the R&D relief, which in previous years proved to be an effective fiscal stimulus and resulted in a multi-per cent increase in investment in the area of innovation. Importantly, the relief, which is now planned, is linked by regulations to the definition of a robot, developed by the ministry in consultation with our industry, which will force investors to take advantage of offers from experienced service providers in the area of automation.
