Project Name
Universal Laser Marker
Industry
Energy
Scope
Comprehensive design, construction, delivery, and implementation of an advanced laser marking system, enabling fast and precise marking of components of various sizes.

Challenge
A manufacturer of capacitor batteries for reactive power compensation faced a specific challenge: they needed a universal, energy-efficient solution for marking components of different dimensions.
Key requirements included high quality and repeatability of marking, flexibility to handle multiple product types, ease of operation, rapid device changeovers, and minimal energy consumption.

Technologies and Solutions
20W laser marker, optimized for marking polymers and metals
Two-process-chamber design (1200 × 650 × 200 mm) enabling continuous operation and high throughput
Dedicated production fixtures ensuring marking repeatability
DATALOGIC LIGHTER software and SIMATIC WinCC Runtime
Safety systems: safety interlocks, emergency stop button
Energy-efficient components and a mobile, compact construction with lockable casters
Process and Implementation
Process and Implementation
The laser marker was designed and manufactured by experts from the PROPOINT Machinery Division. The device features an intuitive operator panel and inspection window for full process control. PLC-based control allows the operator to quickly change marking patterns without technical support.
